Just in time for the holiday season: Christmas Cards by Megan Affolter! That’s right nothing says happy holidays like a homemade Christmas card! I have two sets of 6 cards, the Naughty and Nice card set! The Nice Cards have traditional holiday expressions and the Naughty cards are for your friends who have a good sense of humor.  Each set comes with 6 4.25 x 5.50 cards with envelopes.
I will be selling them at Steel City this weekend, but if you would like a set of the cards and know that your not going to be able to come to the con, I am offering to send them to you via mail. I’m charging $20 for the set ($15 for the actual card set, the additional $5 is for shipping).
If interested, either facebook message me or email me at meacommissions7@gmail.com. I’ll send you a paypal invoice and  I’ll send them out after I receive payment.
This is a limited deal. Last day to order cards is December 9th (so you have enough time to send them out for Christmas).

Hello lovely people!

This is kind-of a different then my normal posts. I just wanted to give you guys some information about me and why I’m not going to be posting much of anything between December-January….and it really boils down to me just being busy with things that need my attention right now.

I just got a new job, which is exciting, but I’m going to need an adjustment period of figuring it out and changing up my schedule. I have some family related stuff I got to take care of. Nothing bad! Just things that need my attention. There’s also the fact that I’ve been nonstop; between cons and making art for said cons this entire year. I need a little break.

Am I not working on any new art? No! I’m always working on something new, but it’s going to be put more on the back burner for December and January.

I just didn’t want you guys to be wondering where’s all the new, almost monthly art I normally post. I’m not giving up art, just need a break.

HOWEVER!!! I do have somethings for December. So check back in tomorrow!

Also I want to give a side bar to my unfortunate news. My beloved Harry passed away yesterday unexpectedly. He was my everything and was my muse for a lot of my pictures which is why I want to put this here. To say I’m devastated wouldn’t do justice to the shear amount of pain I’m feeling right now. So if you have a moment, take the time to pet your own fur baby!

Well today marks the last day of Inktober. I finished strong if I do say so myself! Remember to stay safe when trick or treating or if your the one giving out candy. I do have one more trick up my sleeve, so be sure to check back in tomorrow for a VERY well requested treat!

Hello! I had an awesome time at Tsubasacon! But I expected that. I want to extend a welcome to any new followers I gained!

As usual, I was busy during the con and didn’t have time to put up my latest Inktober piece…..so I’ll post it now! It’s a little witchy self portrait with my muse! As well as my commissions I did during the con.

Happy October everyone! I’m going to be participating in Inktober this year. I already know I won’t be able to do every day, but I’m going to try for a bulk of them! (And yes I know I missed October 1st, but that was my birthday, I had bigger things to do!)

#inktober day 1! The Fuji Mermaid was a classic sideshow attraction that brought in millions of gullible tourists to “freak” shows and circuses. The promised beautiful mermaid was actually a mummified monkey with an equally mummified fish tail sewn to its bottom.

Hello all of you lovely people and welcome to all of the new people following me!

I had a lovely time at Oddmall and met a lot of nice people! I wanted to let all of you know of the next few cons I’ll be at. I will be at:

3 Rivers Comic Con: This is a relatively new con, but a lot of fun. It’s run by people very passionate about comics and it’s a very relax atmosphere. This con will be on May 19^th-20^th at the Century III Mall (yes the mall is still open) or if your not local the address is 3075 Old Clairton Rd. West Mifflin, Pa 15123. Sci-Fi Valley Comic Con: This is a also run by some very passionate fans and is becoming quite the big show. This is on June 8^th-10^th at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona. It’s website for more information is http://www.scifivalleycon.com/.

Hey there! I just realized I never put this up! I am at Oddmall: Emporium of the Weird located in the John S Knight Center, Akron, OH, today and tomorrow. I am in the downstairs area, table 163 by kids cove. This is a free admission event, but they are accepting donations. If you are free today and would love to have something to do, come by and visit me!

Where the *fudge* has Megan been? Well she has slowly been finishing her latest piece which is turned out amazing! So I will be posting it at some point on Friday. Due to certain people stealing my art, I am taking procautions to have a copyright on my piece, so I need to finish that before I can post it, but I should be good to go on Friday, So please check back in!

Well…it’s finally happened. My art was stolen by not 1, but 2 online stores that I found. I’m not going to name them as I don’t want to give them the satisfaction of “advertising” them. 

This does make me have to put this out there. For all the fan art I create, I don’t own the characters or the shows. If I could buy the rights for them, I would, but I can’t. I am the creator of that artwork displaying the characters though. I am the one who drew them that way and the artwork itself is mine to own. I put my heart and soul into each piece because of my love of the shows or characters. My goal is to spread the love for these shows so others can pick it up and watch it too (and if any creators or executives of the shows are reading this, hopefully make people want to buy official products as well).

Right now, I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place with fan art. I’m not going to churn out more if its just going to be stolen by another person. Because of this, I’m really only going to put most of my focus on my personal artworks that I will own fully out-right, copyrighted and all.  By doing this, at least if I see someone using my work, I can use the full legal force against that person.

So, what does this mean for you, my dearest followers? Don’t fret too hard, Im still most likely going to be putting up some fan art, I love the shows too much just to quit of them. It wont be as much though as I normally do. However, my watermark, which is found on every image I upload here, is going to be WWWWWAAAAAAYYYYYYY more obvious and I might put a mustache on everyone just so that another person might think twice about lifting it. This sucks. I want you guys to be able to enjoy my artwork without my watermark being too obnoxious and have the super high-res I like to give. But again, I really don’t have a choice.

This really sucks cause I a have a cool Star vs piece Im working on now.

I realize I might lose a few followers with this decision, but I was already planning this for a while now, the stores selling my stuff was a kick in the butt.

However, for those who do stick this out with me, know that I got big plans for next year, things already in the works, cough *web comic, the Halloween special was just warm up* cough.

The only other thing is just a brief mention that I am going to be in Steel City next week, so if your in the area, please come over and visit me!

Well I had a lovely time at Tsubasacon. I meet tons of awesome people! And I got the pleasure of doing 11 (technically 12, but someone never came back to pick up their art :( ) commissions.Whew! That’s the most I’ve done during a con and let me tell you, my hand is still cramping. So in other news, my next inktober piece is going to be ghost bride! Now I just have to make it! Thanks again!

Well I had a lovely time at Hazard Con. This was the con’s maiden voyage and I think it did very well! Thank you to any new followers I’ve gotten from attending the con for visiting me! I do want to do some shout-outs to my neighbors who were around me and for you guys to check out:

Kelli Kohn: An awesome artist with a talent for multi-colors paintings. She had many beautiful prints of cats and dogs as well as a few landscapes. Her stuff can be found on her facebook and her website kellikohn.com.

Xuunies: A very skilled artist who had many unique fanart prints to sale. She has a nice style which prevails throughout her art. Her stuff can be found at xuuato.tumblr.com as well a twitter @xuuato and her patreon under xuunies.

Sushi’s tea time: Another talented artist who had tons of buttons, and keychains of his art to sell. He made a lot of show sets which was cool. He can be found on etsy, facebook (linked in name), tumblr, and twitter all using sushisteatime.

Elikathal Cosplay: This girl sells many hand made plush items and beautiful kimonos! I bought a little baby dragon plush from her that is adorable! Definitely go and check out her stuff either on facebook (linked) and her etsy store https://www.etsy.com/shop/aplushwonderland

I also did 2 commissions for a girl’s OCs.  I am starting to feel a bit more confident in those, so if anyone has been wanting to do a commission and is willing to put up with a little slowness (which I am still working on), I will do do ink drawings and color pencils drawings at the cons.
