This piece was fun because I actually “made” this work. I originally did it as a graphite work and then put it into the computer to color it in Clipstudio. The result was the beautiful texture of the graphite being preserved with the color range available on the computer. Definitely was a fun technique to try.
Hello! Here is my latest news! Just in time for the holiday season: Christmas Cards by Megan Affolter! That’s right nothing says happy holidays like a homemade Christmas card! I have two sets of 6 cards, the Naughty and Nice card set! The Nice Cards have traditional holiday expressions and the Naughty cards are for your friends who have a good sense of humor. Each set comes with 6 4.25 x 5.50 cards with envelopes. I will be selling them at Steel City this weekend, but if you would like a set of the cards and know that your not going to be able to come to the con, I am offering to send them to you via mail. I’m charging $20 for the set ($15 for the actual card set, the additional $5 is for shipping). If interested, either facebook message me or email me at meacommissions7@gmail.com. I’ll send you a paypal invoice and I’ll send them out after I receive payment. This is a limited deal. Last day to order cards is December 9th (so you have enough time to send them out for Christmas).
This is kind-of a different then my normal posts. I just wanted to give you guys some information about me and why I’m not going to be posting much of anything between December-January….and it really boils down to me just being busy with things that need my attention right now.
I just got a new job, which is exciting, but I’m going to need an adjustment period of figuring it out and changing up my schedule. I have some family related stuff I got to take care of. Nothing bad! Just things that need my attention. There’s also the fact that I’ve been nonstop; between cons and making art for said cons this entire year. I need a little break.
Am I not working on any new art? No! I’m always working on something new, but it’s going to be put more on the back burner for December and January.
I just didn’t want you guys to be wondering where’s all the new, almost monthly art I normally post. I’m not giving up art, just need a break.
HOWEVER!!! I do have somethings for December. So check back in tomorrow!
Also I want to give a side bar to my unfortunate news. My beloved Harry passed away yesterday unexpectedly. He was my everything and was my muse for a lot of my pictures which is why I want to put this here. To say I’m devastated wouldn’t do justice to the shear amount of pain I’m feeling right now. So if you have a moment, take the time to pet your own fur baby!
Thought I forgot? Think again!Well here is my exciting news! I am opening myself up to commissions! All of my information will be on the pictures below. Well today marks the last day of Inktober. I finished strong if I do say so myself! Remember to stay safe when trick or treating or if your the one giving out candy. I do have one more trick up my sleeve, so be sure to check back in tomorrow for a VERY well requested treat!
